Finite Element Analysis Services
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Services are provided primarily for the support of Sect VIII pressure vessel design concerns such as cyclic service and thermal growth. Results are evaluated to Sect VIII Division 2.
How Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Works
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) uses a computational mathematical model to discretize the structure into many small sub-structures called “elements”. These elements and their connection points are called “nodes” Defining the elements and nodes is called meshing. We then use meshing values and calculations to determine the structural integrity of your design.
Finite Element Analysis for Pressure Vessels allows us to classify different failures and determine the number of available cycles for pressure vessels. You can then use this information to redesign the pressure vessel to reduce fatigue and eliminate failure points, or we can redesign it for you.
